The 2017 Subaru Impreza: More Than Meets the Eye

The 2017 Subaru Impreza model becomes the first to be built on the new global modular platform.  Subaru claims the new architecture offered by the new platform lowers the car’s center of gravity, and improves suspension to make the car stronger. Both the 2017 Sedan and 5-Door Hatch will be available in Subaru dealerships serving Baton Rouge later this year.

Power Trains and Performance

Powering the new powerhouse from Subaru is a tweaked version of the FB boxer four, 2.0-liter engine that is now direct injected. This effectively gives you a 4-hp increase compared to the earlier models. What you will have in your hands is a thundering 152 horsepower machine fed to all the 4 four wheels by a variable automatic transmission.

Beauty and Inner Strength

Both the new 5-Door and Sedan offer a first glimpse into the latest design language from Subaru. You get a more sophisticated exterior that comes with signature features from Subaru such as the hexagonal grille, flared wheel arches, and the spectacular hawk-eye headlamps. The 2017 car is also marginally lower to improve aerodynamics. As standard for each Impreza, this one also comes with the Symmetrical All-Wheel Drive.

Technology Features

The new Impreza comes with standard Android Auto and Apple CarPlay plus NFC connectivity as part of the new infotainment system. Other great features include power locks, windows, and mirror as well an engine immobilizer security system. For more space, the car has a 60/40 split folding rear seat.

If you want to test the remake of the legendary Impreza, why not check the 2017 model at a reliable Subaru dealer serving Baton Rouge?
