Latest Subaru Models Among the Safest

In shopping for cars, one of buyers’ main considerations is vehicle safety, and the Insurance Institute for Highway Safety (IIHS) helps buyers with their assessment. A car with the IIHS Top Safety Pick status is sure to have met, if not exceeded, industry safety standards. Among the recent vehicles to acquire IIHS Top Safety Pick status are all the latest Subaru models, namely the Legacy, Forester, Outback, BRZ, XV Crosstek, Impreza, and WRX.

With all seven making the cut, Subaru becomes the only manufacturer that has all its models achieving IIHS Top Safety Pick status for six years in the row. Moreover, five of the models, namely the Outback, Legacy, Impreza, Forester, and XV Crosstek, earned the top rating of Superior when it comes to front crash prevention technology.

Among all the vehicles in the small car category, only the Impreza and XV Crosstek was able to achieve the Superior rating for front crash prevention technology, thanks to the latest Subaru EyeSight driver assist technology. This latest technology--the first system to use a stereo camera technology to detect vehicles, pedestrians, and cyclists--includes an adaptive cruise control, pre-collision braking, and vehicle departure warning. The EyeSight feature is available for the Legacy, Outback, and Forester.

Decked with the latest safety features, a Subaru vehicle assures that you’ll not only get a smooth ride, but a safe one as well.
