Subaru vehicles are definitely
getting the love this year, as shown in Consumer Reports’ Top Picks of 2015.
The annual report, which recognizes and lauds standout models in ten popular
car categories, lauded three Subaru
vehicles this year, namely the Impreza, the Legacy, and the Forester. This
is the first time since 2012 that a single carmaker won multiple accolades for
their models.
What Makes a Car a Top Pick?
For a car to be lauded as a Top
Pick, Consumer Reports says that it has to meet their expectations in three
areas, namely: road test, reliability, and safety. It should also rank at the
top (or near the top) of their respective categories on test scores. There are
ten car categories this year, only doing away with the pickup truck category
due to the newness of the latest models.
Impressive Array of Cars
Among compact cars, Consumer Reports lauded
Impreza’s interior comfort and pleasant ride, giving it a score of 79 out of 100.
Meanwhile, the Legacy was able to bump off the Honda Accord as the top pick
among midsized sedans for its improved infotainment and safety features such as
a rear-view camera and radar system. The Forester, meanwhile, impressed the
editors of Consumer Reports, particularly for its price, performance,
efficiency, and reliability. Overall, Subaru vehicles are poised to be one of
the most versatile vehicles in the market and are also considered smart choices
for car buyers.
