CPO 2013 Subaru Foresters—How Reliable Are They?

Fuji Heavy Industries, the manufacturer of Subaru vehicles, is a master in building arguably the most reliable vehicles on the road, and the 2013 Forester is no exception. Historically, the Forester has constantly ranked high in its class in terms of reliability, and you can expect the same in this particular model. Coupled with the carmaker’s outstanding Certified Pre-Owned (CPO) vehicle program, buyers are guaranteed of a quality used car should they decide to purchase.

Each CPO Subaru undergoes a 152-point inspection process accompanied by a Carfax report and a Buyback Guarantee. As if these weren’t incentives enough, buyers can expect an extended 7-year/100,000-mile powertrain warranty (whichever comes first) coupled with 24-hour roadside assistance.

The car brand also allows CPO customers to enhance their warranty coverage at extra cost. Apart from the Classic wraparound plan, buyers can select another one that adds nearly 1,000 vehicle components to the 7-year/100,000-mile coverage, or a Gold Plus plan that includes the entire vehicle for that same period (minus a few maintenance systems and body parts).

The Classic plan includes reimbursement for towing and car rental when a warranty repair is made. Meanwhile, the Gold Plus plan includes lodging, meal reimbursement, and road hazard tire protection, on top of that.
